A few years ago I had a chance to live in Norway for half a year. The country of fjords has so many amazingly beautiful nature spots! One of them is Preikestolen or Pulpit rock which is a steep cliff rising 604 metres (1982 feet) above Lysefjorden, opposite the Kjerag plateau, with an almost flat top of approximately 25 by 25 metres (82 by 82 feet). To get there you need to first visit a very nice small town Stavanger. From there just take a bus to the starting hiking point. The whole route is manageable within one day and does not need any special equipment or experience. Simple hiking shoes and light windbreaker should suffice.
On the way you will meet some local sheeps

and will enjoy some landscapes like this one

And finally you will see this

and this

Stavanger is quite small and very charming town. Don’t miss a chance to walk there and I especially recommend you to enjoy the fish market on the main street
